Before Training Camp Flag Plant

What is a flag plant?⛳️
Well, in Fantasy Football?
It’s a hot take and you believe it to be true. A gut feeling that is backed by all the information you keep reading. Normally a first, second, or 3rd round pick.
I’m sure it has nothing to do with you following only people you agree with - thats besides the point.
The ⛳️ can make you look like a genius or can crash and burn into ambers of memories blowing in the wind. The memory remains.
I’ll never forget my nephew in 2008 who drafted Tom Brady in round 1 after his historic 2007, 50 TD season. Almost going undefeated the season before, Randy Moss going nuclear, and this offense was poised to have a legendary season. He built his whole team around Round 1 - Tom Brady- didn’t even draft another QB. In his words “Why would I?”
We would go to my parents house to watch football, my brother, him, some of my friends and myself. He was running a little late. We had to hear all off season after the draft about the incoming smack down that was inevitably coming to the rest of us.
Tom Brady torn his ACL in the first game. Early in the game. My nephew arrived late and no one had the heart to tell him. As he rolled in confident we watched as he saw the news. Without a word, he left as quickly as he got there.
Was it a bad flag plant? No chance.
Travis Henry to Denver flag plant? Yeah, that one is not one I look back on fondly.
That doesn’t mean we stop taking swings though. 25 years in Fantasy Football, almost every year I have a Flag Plant.
This year is no different.
This year it’s…
